The winter trophy competition

The competition was arranged by KAK, the Royal Automobile Club, and was held the very first time in 1906. They started from Gothenburg via Örebro and the goal was Stockholm. The first trophy winner was Emil Salmson in a Fiat - he also won 1907 and 1908 and captured the big trophy for ever.

The second trophy was captured for ever by Hans Osterman, in a Minerva and a Buick, after victories in 1913, 1914 and 1925.

The competition was held in February or March, but not at all during the WWI years.

The winners were also awarded a miniature trophy in silver after a victory. All pictures here show the miniature of the second trophy.

Of some reason Hans Osterman presented his miniature throphy from 1925 to Gunnar Johnson as a testimonial - maybe for valuable cooperation during this competition.

He got it engraved in the trophy.
